EAO BadBoyz has the right idea. Give the spiders something to chew on. How?
1. The more links on your site, the more time the spiders spend there. They look to see who you are linking to . . .
2. The more folks who link to you, the more visits you get from the spiders. They want to see who the other site is linking to.
3. The more links to and from your site the better, because it increases your importance in the eyes of the spiders. The more important the websites that link to you, the better --- a site with many links which includes yours (and which is linked to by many other sites) is better than a site that only links to you (and only you link to them).
4. There are numerous services that will promote your website at no charge --- except that you must have a visible link to their service on your site. You will pay dearly for some of these because they will bombard your visitors with popups, so be choosy and read the "Terms and Conditions" carefully.
5. Go to the major search engines and register your site manually. Most no longer allow it, but do all that will allow.
6. BE PATIENT! Sometimes it can take weeks or even months for your pages to start showing up in the listings. Make sure that your meta tags truly give a good picture of your site and its purpose.
